DOGE is already engaging in fraud. Musk has an incredible conflict of interest and us doing all he can to direct contracts to his companies

Well he’s going to get sued right? Maybe that’s the point? Perhaps it’s a very interesting way to prove that DOGE isn’t a government entity and is therefore illegal.

If you mean the scenario where Trevor Nestor just registered this LLC without approval from DOGE, it would open him up to investigation or prosecution under the False Claims Act and 18 U.S. Code § 709 – False Representation of Government Agencies.

And of course, it would also invite a massive lawsuit from Musk lawyers as he wouldn't want anyone else falsely using the DOGE name.

But Nestor is a fan of Jordan Peterson, espouses men's rights activist views on women, and in general seems in ideological alignment with Musk. So I really doubt he would be doing this to "troll."

Which leans us a little more to Scenario 2, this LLC could have been authorized by DOGE officials, which opens up an even bigger can of worms re: federal laws and regulations in place designed to prevent waste, fraud and abuse. Sound familiar?

Note: Special Government Employees, which is what Musk and many DOGE staffers are, are still subject to these same laws and regs prohibiting self-dealing, using insider information for financial gain, etc.

I am not a Jordan peterson fan these days, but you have to understand why when everybody claims socioeconomic precarity in this country is a "mental problem" young men need to solve on their own they can gravitate towards demagogue grifter psychologists

Big shocker I know

TRUMP’S FOREIGN POLICY SCARES OUR ALLIES

NBC reported yesterday that some of our key allies (Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand, Australia) are discussing scaling back (discontinuing?) the sharing of intelligence and surveillance information with the United States. For years, conflict after conflict, these nations have routinely  shared intelligence information about our enemies (Terrorist nations, Iran, Yemen, Russia, and other Baltic States). This information has been vital, helping us to counter threats and attacks on our nation. Why on earth are our allies exploring this option?! Is it retaliatory? Maybe, after all, the Trump Administration has pushed away the NATO Alliance and has implemented tariffs on most of these nations.

Foreign Policy Analysts are concluding that Trump’s foreign policy is becoming a security risk to our allies. I agree; Trump’s pivoting and realignment with Russia is causing them to re-think what the risks are with sharing intelligence information with the US. For example, compromised intelligence information can affect the protection of a nation’s critical assets such as advanced weapons, research, and agents’ identities. This all suggests that we are starting to lose the long and hard-gained trust and confidence of our key allies. Is the US becoming so cozy with Russia that they fear their critical intelligence information will be shared with Putin?!

My father was a decorated veteran who fought in the Second World War. In his valor, he fought against the forces of authoritarianism and fascism. His spirit and voice still live in me.  The reputation, integrity, and respect of the US is diminishing; tangible damage is being done. At what point will Americans become concerned with what is transpiring? Will we let the US become a pariah and isolationist nation who cozies up to brutal dictators?

I suggest we of Substack add another narrative into the minds of our fellow Americans.  A narrative about the diminishing trust and prominence of our country on the world stage. Let’s continue to shed light on why we believe Donald Trump is a profound threat to our democracy.
